Property Map & Live Walkthrough

What It Does

The Property Map turns any job site walkthrough into a structured data collection session. As you walk the property, the app tracks your position on a satellite map in real time. Your path draws itself as a breadcrumb trail so you always know where you have and haven't been. When you get within 30 feet of any tree you've already pinned, that tree's full record slides up automatically — species, condition, DBH, work history, and quick actions.

When you're done walking, tap Estimate and every tree and every hazard you recorded automatically pre-fills a new estimate. No typing, no clipboard, no forgotten details.

How to Use It

Open any client

Go to the client record and tap the Property Map tab, or select the client from the map's dropdown.

Start Walkthrough

Tap the green Start Walkthrough button. The satellite map loads and a blue dot appears at your location.

Walk and pin

Move through the property. Tap Pin Tree Here to drop a tree at your exact GPS position. Tap Hazard to mark structures, lines, and obstacles.

Review what you've mapped

Switch to the Tree List tab to see every pinned tree for this client with its full data card.

Convert to estimate

Tap the Estimate button. Everything you found — trees by species and condition, hazards by type — pre-fills a new estimate ready for pricing.

Drag to adjust

Any tree marker can be dragged to its exact position. The new coordinates save automatically.

What You Can Pin

Trees — label, species (from the 189-species list), DBH, height, condition rating (good / fair / poor / dead / hazard), work needed
Power lines — drawn as a polyline trace across the property, flagged for the Safety JHA
Fences and walls — traced as polylines to show drop zone limits
Structures — house, shed, pool, septic, play set, driveway, gas line, other
Dog kennels — flagged so the crew knows before they arrive

The 30-Foot Proximity Alert

When you walk to within 30 feet of any pinned tree, the tree's card slides up automatically without you tapping anything. You see the species, condition, work history from previous jobs, and buttons to log work, add it to an estimate, or edit the record. This means you can focus on looking at the tree rather than looking at your phone.

Tree Color Codes on the Map

Every tree marker on the satellite view is color-coded by condition so you can read the whole property at a glance: green for good, amber for fair, orange for poor, dark red for dead, red for hazard. The first letter of the species appears in the center of each marker.

How Hazards Flow Into Your Work

Every hazard you pin on the map is available in two places. When you create an estimate, the Hazards tab pre-fills with every structure and obstacle you marked. When you open the Safety JHA from the map, power lines and structures are already checked in the hazard checklist — you just verify and sign.
